The book about the life of Steve Jobs, the output of which is scheduled for March 6, 2012, became a bestseller, not only before its own sales but also to the end of the writing process. Is it a joke or no – a 448-page work takes a 43th place in the TOP online shop Amazon (not counting the first places in several individual categories.) Publishing house Simon & Schuster meanwhile approved the final title of the book.
The original name, «iSteve: The Book of Jobs», came up by someone from the advertising department of Simon & Schuster, and the author – writer Walter Isaacson long time doubted it. Wife and daughter of Isaacson played the decisive role in changing the name. Both of them told him that the title of the book seems to them too “cutesy.” Yielding to the entreaties, the writer has convinced publishers that the book should be named differently, «”Steve Jobs” by Walter Isaacson».
In addition to Amazon, biography is available for pre-order in iBookstore [iTunes link] for $14.99.
