Mobile creators – a small team iOS developers from, of all places, Kazakhstan, have just released a new app about coffee. They audaciously called it “Great Coffee App”. Let’s see if this app lives up to it’s name.
App greets user with a blurred picture of, presumably, a cafe. On top of, there is a button to play a video, some pictograms telling how to use the app and another row of icons at the bottom, which happened to be a menu.
Swiping from left to right moves sawn in half cups and glasses of various coffee drinks, of which there are 16 plus a “secret drink”. Pictures are gorgeous.

Tapping on a picture once brings up a description.
Tapping once more shows ingredients. Third tap brings back the “cafe”.

To spice things up, there is a “secret drink”. That drink is covered with a blank image and has to be revealed by tweeting about it.

Swiping up anywhere on the screen, brings up a row of icons. Tapping on them, you can bring up a list of all drinks, switch music on and off, share current drink, display help and start a slideshow.

The menu lets you jump to a drink, move to the “welcome” and “thank you” screens (basically, initial and final screens of the app) and see your progression from novice to expert. That progression is marked with stars, which can be set for each individual drink by tapping on a star icon.
Overall, great app for coffee drinkers who want to extend their knowledge of coffee casually, rather than going all Wikipedia on it. Images are gorgeous, music is beautiful – a great experience!
“Great Coffee App” is available in iTunes AppStore for $1.99 for both iPhone and iPad (and iPod touch).

The images are really grabbing the attention the most. Is this app also available over android’s google play store? I have Samsung Galaxy Music, I want to try it!
For iOS only..
