Android OS occupies almost 43% of the market, while iOS only 28% – the most favorite phrase in an attempt to prove the superiority of the Google operating system. About 500 000 smart phones with Android on board are activated during one day. The numbers are peachy.
But if to go deeper, then from the above mentioned diagram of the analytical agency Nielsen it is shown that in the Android OS segment three leaders was dispensed in a following way: HTC owns 15%, Motorola took 10.4%, and Samsung “ate” 10.1%.
Four months ago, the deal was a little bit different: Android occupied 39% of the market (↑), from which the HTC took 14% (↑), Motorola – 11% (↓), Samsung – 8% (↑).
Now, we again turn our attention to iOS, which is held 28%. And in this yellow box is only one player – Apple with four phone models which are produced now. It is stands against a few dozen rivals with the emblem of the “green robot”, the lifespan of which is very seldom more than two years, after what the producers kick the support and operating system updates to the curb.
Apple in its turn continues to support the iPhone 3GS, which is already three years old, and for which all the latest updates of the newest iOS 5 are accessible. But what the efficiency does the company have! Perhaps the situation will change in a couple of years not in favor of Steve Jobs brainchild, but now iOS 5 is the best mobile operating system in the world.
